Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Lola van der Wal. I am now 17 years old and I am in high school in Breda. I live in a small village in the Netherlands. Next year I would like to take a gap year. Then I would also like to become an au pair.
I studied French for 6 years at school, but I would like to speak it better. I can speak English fluently. I have a lot of experience with children and really enjoy babysitting. I also have no problem with household chores.

Experience

I want to become an au pair because I enjoy working with children. I would like to get to know the country I am going to and also the culture of the country. I also hope to improve my French skills in French-speaking countries. It will certainly be good for my English too. I think it would be fun to do during my gap year.

I speak Dutch. I also speak English very well and am fairly fluent. At school I also studied French for 6 years and German for 2 years. I hope to improve my French, but speaking is especially difficult for me. I can listen and read better in French.
I think I have a lot of experience with children. I have at least 15 babysitting addresses. I babysit a lot, and I have been doing that for a very long time. I also have many younger nephews and nieces, so I help out there too. I enjoy dealing with children. I might want to become a primary school teacher. I also did an internship in a daycare center.
