Experience
I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts. I took up a volunteering job at little Eden amd Dolphin kindergarten school because of my love of children. I was dealing with the children from the age of 1 to 5 , my responsibilities were to help them with reading, drawing, colouring, counting, dancing and singing and a lot of different other activities, I used to prepare meals for them and put them for their naps.
I was also a volunteer at the Edublox centre Swakopmund, Learning and Reading. I used to help children with difficulty in reading, learning and studying. I even got an opportunity as a holiday teacher at Harbourview College where I was helping the grade 0-5 with their homework and studying. I had a great time with them. And I'm sure if your kids haveaany difficulty or needs any help with their school work ,helping them wont be a big problem. I used to babysit my neighbours and relatives children. I took care of babies and children , my responsibilities included playing with the children, bathing and dressing them up, playing educational games, bottle feeding, drawing and helping with schoolwork or homework if they they were going to school, preparing meals and putting them to bed.
To Being the eldest sibling at home , I always have to babysit my brother's and sisters when my parents are absent. In 2022 I stayed I'm Botswana with my aunts children while she was in Germany. I stayed with the children for about 6 months, I was dropping and picking up the children for school, helped them with school work and prepared meals for them. I used to play with them and did the household chores like, doing the laundry, cleaning the house and washing the dishes. During that time when I stayed alone with the children I learned immense knowledge about dealing with children according and responsibly. I am also currently an au pair in the Netherlands, I am currently dealing with 3 children, 5 years old, 3 years old and and baby that recently turned 7 months old.
With the time I have spent with children, I have found out how much it is to have children around .
The reason why I want to become an au pair is that I want to get to know the way of life as well as its different cultures. Most importantly it would be a great chance to spend an entire year taking care of your children. It gives a great privilege and capability to see outside the world especially in terms of cultural and languages experience at first hand.
Furthermore I've always been passionate about children and learning about new cultures. Becoming an au apair allows ne to combine both interests, while gaining international experience and contributing to your family's daily life.
