Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Alex, I’m 21 years old, and I’m from Toledo, Spain, a beautiful city full of history. I’m looking for an Au Pair opportunity because I want to improve my English and experience life in an English-speaking country, while also connecting with a new family and culture.

Although I haven’t had direct responsibility for children, I’ve worked with kids as a padel coach. Through this experience, I’ve learned to communicate well, be patient, and stay organized—skills that I believe are important for taking care of children. I’m responsible, structured, and always give my best in everything I do.

I’m passionate about music—I love composing and listening to all kinds of music. I also played padel for 10 years, and now I practice boxing, which keeps me active and focused. I’m happy to help with household chores and anything else that makes life easier for the family.

I speak Spanish as my native language, and my English level is intermediate (B1). I’m looking to improve my English and immerse myself in the culture of an English-speaking country.

I would describe myself as fun, responsible, and easygoing. I love creating a positive atmosphere, where everyone feels comfortable and happy. I’m excited about the opportunity to build a strong, trusting relationship with my host family and contribute in any way I can.

Experience

Although I don't have direct experience as an Au Pair, I have worked with children in a coaching role, teaching paddle tennis. This experience has helped me develop important skills like patience, responsibility, and effective communication, which I believe are key when caring for children. I’m confident that these skills will allow me to adapt quickly to the role of an Au Pair and offer a positive and supportive environment for the children.

I want to become an Au Pair abroad because it's a unique opportunity to improve my English in a real-life setting, while also immersing myself in a new culture. I enjoy being around kids and feel that being an Au Pair will allow me to grow personally and professionally, all while contributing to a family's daily life. It’s the perfect combination of learning, cultural exchange, and helping others.
