Letter to the family

Hi there! My name is Sara and evre since I graduated high school I've been so interested in doing a cultural exchange and being an au pair. School is very important to me so I decided to get my degree first.

I graduated in 2020 from Western University and now that I have had some time to work and with the pandemic improving I thought it would be a great time to explore being an au pair.

I have always loved taking care of young children and exploring the world with them. I have been taking care of my two nieces Nora (age 7) and Katina (age 12) since they were born. Having them in my life for so long has made me confident in child care whether it is making crafts and playing games, reading together, changing diapers, putting them to sleep or teaching them something new. I believe that young children can teach you so much about the world and I love being able to see through their eyes.

In addition to my 12 years of babysitting my nieces, I also have a degree in psychology from Western University and was able to focus my studies on the importance of early childhood development. I was also a peer support volunteer while at university and have experience in supporting young adults and children whether they are in crisis or need a friend to listen.

If you select me to care for your children, you can be confident that I will be a reliable, tidy, trustworthy Au Pair. My main priority is to put the children first and make sure they are supported and happy.

Experience

For me, being an Au Pair is a way to learn about a new culture and a new community. Having lived in Canada my whole life, I'm very curious to meet new people and learn about different customs and ways of life. I also love spending time with young children and helping parents with their upbringing and growing.
