Letter to the family

Hi!

My name is Alejandra, I am 21 years old and I live in Canada! I was born and raised for part of my life in Colombia but eventually my family migrated to Canada and we have been living here for 11 years now! My native language is Spanish but I am also fluent in English. I am currently studying German as I am really interested in becoming proficient in it! My goal on Au Pair is to be an Au Pair in Germany from mid May to mid June next year! I am also interested in working online with Children, whether it is to teach them Spanish, Tutor them,
or play with them!

I work at an airlines contact center, I love to travel and explore new places! I have worked in two camps as a camp counsellor (one in person and one online), I have worked with kids as young as 5 and as old as 14 years old. I love and get along really well with children. I have great ideas for activates we can do together, I am really creative and recursive and can plan really cool activities for us to do! I am a hard worker, I listen to feedback and I am always willing to improve!

Ideally I would like to be an Au Pair for a German family as I am really interested in learning German!

Experience

I was a camp counselor at a summer camp for 'The Child Experience' here in Canada. I worked with children from the ages 5-14. I worked in the art section meaning I had to assist the children in completing the activities of the class. It was lots of fun gettiing to share with the children, laugh with them, play with them, teach them, and having them also teach me.

I was also a camp counselor for 'Focus On Youth' which was online due to the pandemic. Here I also worked with children from the ages 5-14. Despite not being able to work with the children in person it still was a marvelous experience. I led the sports section along with two other co workers. We had to come up with interactive acitivies for the kids that would be fun and make them move around which was a bit challenging since it was online but we managed to organaize some cool acitivies where the children had lots of fun.

I love working with children because we have lots of fun and we both learn and grow together!
