Hello there! I'm Juliana but I go simply by Ana and I was born and raised in Brazil. Finished high school in 2018 and decided to postpone starting my academic life in university and instead go out of my comfort zone and learn how to be more responsible. I've already been an au pair in China for a whole year and I have experience with child care because of it. I'm a language enthusiast and through this program, I really hope to learn as many languages as possible. I am completely open to new cultures and costumes. I hope you can read my profile thoroughly to get to know me a little better.

Nowadays I am majoring in Fashion Design, I'm scheduled to be graduating in August. Other than aupairing in China, I also worked as a Data Analyst for Netflix's Customer Service area. Nowadays I'm working as a Front-End Web Developer.

Experience

Being an au pair in china was a challenge at first since I was as inexperienced as a person can be with child care but nowadays I enjoy it a lot. In average, I stay with my host kids in a total of 32 hours weekly and I keep them company during their very tight schedule (various extra classes every single day of the week). In the meantime, we mostly do things everyone can enjoy without many fights between the two sisters, like reading books, watching movies in English, singing songs and playing with the house's cat. We're very close to the point of them fighting over who will sit next to me during dinner.

There's nothing more wholesome than witnessing your host kids growing older and more responsible. Even though you're not their biological sister, they treat you like one and even sees you as a rolemodel for their lives. I feel like au pairing makes you become more selfless and self aware of what it takes to be a decent human being. More than being a serious, professional work driven adult, you also need to know when to let your childish side show and be silly like a kid to enjoy life to the fullest.
