Dear Host Family,

Hello! My name is Runiché, I am 31 years old and I was born and raised in Upington, South Africa. ☀️ I was raised by my amazing mom and grandparents. :) I have 1 older brother and 4 younger half sisters.

After High School I studied Assistant-Social Work and worked in the field for a few years. I then became an Au Pair in USA for 2 years for a family with 2 girls, aged 1 and 3. ⭐

After USA I decided to transition to Holland from August 2019 and returned back to South Africa at the end of 2020 due to Covid. For 2021, I worked for a South African family with 1 toddler. In January 2022 I moved to Luxembourg and I have been in France ever since January 2023 - mid July 2024. I am currently back in Luxembourg since July 2024, and work as a Nanny. My contract finishes at the end of June and I am returning back home to South Africa.

I developed a love for traveling and I’m planning to do so much more in the future. I see myself as a very responsible, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, very caring and super vibrant person!

I always try to take my time to understand a child’s needs and this is a skill I am working on improving everyday! ✨

Experience

In USA I took care of 2 girls which were aged 1 and 3 when I started and as I finished they were 3 and 5 years old. (Potty training included! :D)

In Holland I started with 3 boys aged 6, 8 and 10 for my first 6 months. My second half of the year I also took care of 3 kids - 2 year old girl & 8 and 10 year old boys.✨

I also have lots of driving experience - in USA I drove my host kids to school, activities, play dates; in Holland, Luxembourg and France as well. Bad weather conditions included. :-)

Being an childcare is such a rewarding feeling seeing how the kids grow up and also sharing the experience of seeing them get their first medal or see them try something new for the first time. Also enjoying the family’s habits and interests and sharing those moments with the host family is such a wonderful experience too! ❤️

I have been an au pair for a lovely family back home in South Africa in 2021 before going to Luxembourg for 2022. I am currently back in Lux, but open to new opportunities in another country.

I did a language exchange program in Bordeaux, France for 2023 and took care of 1 girl aged 9 years. I am back in France since March 2024 after a 3 month visit back home. :) I used to take care of 3 kids aged 1, 6 and 9 in France for a French family.
I am working as a Nanny in Luxembourg currently, with residency. If we agree upon starting the Au Pair process, you would need to join my agency with me.
