Letter to the family

My name is Nella, I come from Finland and I am 19 years old. I am a responsible, caring, and open-minded person who enjoys spending time with children and learning about new cultures. I have always loved working with kids. I have experience with children with my own 3 year old child and 6 siblings and babysitting for family and friends, and I enjoy organizing creative activities like drawing, storytelling, and playing outdoors. I believe in being kind, patient, and supportive while helping children grow and feel safe. One of the reasons I want to become an au pair is to improve my language skills and immerse myself in a new culture. I am also very interested in learning more about your daily life and traditions, and I would love to share mine as well.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, running, snowboarding, and reading. I am also happy to help with light household tasks and contribute to a warm and positive home environment.

Experience

I want to become an au pair because I love working with children and I enjoy learning about new cultures and ways of life. Being an au pair gives me the opportunity to combine these two passions. I believe that living with a host family and helping take care of their children is a unique and meaningful way to experience everyday life in another country. Spending time with kids has always brought me joy, and I like the idea of being a positive influence in their lives, someone who can support, guide, and have fun with them. I’m also excited about the chance to improve my language skills and grow personally by stepping outside of my comfort zone. Becoming an au pair isn’t just about travel for me, it’s about connection, cultural exchange, and becoming part of a family while sharing my own background and values.
