Since I was a teenager, I've helped my uncles look after my cousins, since we're all neighbors. Naturally, I learned how to take care of children and provide domestic and school care. Nowadays, they are 8 and 13 years old, and every day I spend time with them. I help them with their homework, we play together, I cook for them when their parents ask me to, sometimes I pick them up from school, and I look after them when their parents need to go out and they have to sleep at my house. On family trips, especially when we go to the beach, I walk with them, take them to discover new places, and chat. They are always very curious, and I am happy to answer their questions. During my Psychology major, I could see what I've studied theoretically and also apply my knowledge. As a result, I've become a great listener, and I find it very interesting to hear their opinions on the world and their stories. I am happy to advise and embrace them. At university, I completed internships in several areas of psychology, particularly in childhood psychology. In clinical psychology, I served children and adolescents, the most interesnting public in my opinion.
I worked in social work, in the "Criança Feliz" program, which consisted of home visits to families at social vunnerability to conduct playful cognitive, emotional, motor, and social stimulation activities with the children. I also completed an equine therapy internship with children with disabilities, conducting cognitive, motor, and sensory stimulation activities at "APAE," a Brazilian association that supports people with disabilities.
I also had the opportunity to work with children aged 11 to 13 as part of the school psychology internship, where I conducted social and emotional interventions with the students. I completed a legal psychology internship at the Municipal Court, where I worked with couples waiting to adopt and parents in custody proceedings, and I was able to interview the children in the cases.
