Hi! My name is Alveen, a 27-year-old Master’s student from Zimbabwe, currently living in Vicenza, Italy. I’m joyful, curious, and passionate about learning and connecting with people from different cultures. I speak fluent English (C2 level) and have lived and studied in China and Italy, experiences that have helped me become adaptable, open-minded, and nurturing. I’m drawn to becoming an au pair and nanny because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and supporting their growth. I currently tutor three young girls in English, and I’ve previously taught high school students, which sparked my love for helping young people learn in fun, engaging ways. As an au pair, I bring warmth, patience, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility. I understand how important it is to create a calm and supportive environment, and I’m confident that my experience, kind nature, and enthusiasm for cultural exchange make me a great fit for a host family seeking a dependable and loving caregiver.

Experience

While I haven’t officially held the title of “au pair” before, I have meaningful experience working with children in both formal and informal settings. I currently tutor three young girls, aged 7, 9, and 11, helping them develop their English through creative and engaging lessons filled with storytelling, games, and conversation. Previously, while studying in China, I taught English to high school students, which gave me a strong foundation in working with kids across different age groups and cultural backgrounds. These experiences have taught me patience, adaptability, and how to support children emotionally and intellectually.

What draws me to becoming an au pair abroad is the unique opportunity to be part of a family while sharing cultures, learning, and building meaningful connections. I truly enjoy being around children, they bring joy, honesty, and curiosity into everyday life. Living abroad as an au pair allows me to offer my support and care in a personal, home-based setting while continuing to grow, learn, and exchange experiences in a beautiful and genuine way.
