Hi! My name is Alison and I am a 22-year old Canadian girl living in Stockholm, Sweden. I am currently finishing my degree in English Literature and Professional Communications from the University of Victoria in Canada. During my studies, I spent a year abroad at the University of Copenhagen, which inspired me to move back to Scandinavia to finish my studies remotely while I learn Swedish. I want to become an au pair because I love working with children and experiencing new cultures. Living in Sweden has been an incredible experience, and I would love to immerse myself further in the language and daily life of families of other cultures. I also enjoy helping kids learn and grow, whether through creative activities, play, or language learning. This opportunity would allow me to build meaningful connections while contributing to a family's home life.

I am an outgoing, friendly, and responsible person who loves meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I enjoy being creative, whether it’s through writing, ceramics, or dance. I am also very organized, adaptable, and independent, which has helped me adjust to new environments, including moving to Sweden. Since I was 15 I have loved travelling alone and this passion has taken me to Germany, Italy, and Denmark on various exchange opportunities. I love working with people and making a positive impact, which is why I am excited about the opportunity to become an au pair.
