Dear future host family,
My name is Marilène. I am a 19 year old girl from the Netherlands. Currently, I am a ski-instructor in Austria, but the season is ending so I will be going back home soon. Before I was a ski-instructor, I was studying Global Law at Tilburg University. However, I found it is not the direction I want to go later in life, so I applied for med school. I was an elite gymnast for 5 years when I was younger and always have had a passion for sports. I like being outside and being active. Whether it is sports, baking, doing games with friends/family or traveling. I love exploring new places and having new experiences.

I have done a language course in Spain, where I volunteered at a centrum for kids from underprivileged neighborhoods, teached gymnastics to children and am a ski-instructor. I love working with children and also want to travel. Being an au pair and/or live-in tutor is the perfect way to combine those two. Being an au pair is an also an opportunity to really bond with the kids and help them grow personally and academically.

I am an easygoing person and have a lot of patience. I am a quick learner and very adaptable to households. I look forward to the cultural exchange and broaden my and your families view of the world.

I have experience working with children and am enthousiast to keep that going. I fluently speek Dutch and English, and know some German and Spanish. I come from a family with 4 children and am a middle child. I am used to the chaos of everyday life in a big family and know how to navigate through it. I want to make my host family parent(s) their life less stressful and help them wherever I can.
