Bryn (21 / Ms. ), American, Student living in USA looking for Au Pair job in Austria, Italy, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland for 2-4 Months

Hello Future Host Family,

My name is Bryn. I am a 20-year-old college student currently attending High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. Originally from California, I grew up in both the Bay Area (outside San Francisco), and San Diego. I then moved halfway through high school to Raleigh, North Carolina where I graduated from the Ravenscroft School. My household consists of my two parents Elizabeth and Richard, as well as my two older sisters Evan and Ryan. We have three dogs named Ellie, Wilson, and Frankie. Traveling and experiencing foreign cultures has always been one of my major interests, destinations including France, Iceland, and the Cayman Islands thus far. My interest in traveling combined with my passion for working with children is the reason I want to Au Pair. In addition, my cousins hosted an Au Pair from Denmark for a few years, and her experiences increased my interest in doing so. In respect to my character, I am friendly, easygoing, and humorous. I am sure to not only give you the confidence that your children are well taken care of, but also the opportunity to build a relationship that lasts a lifetime. English is my native language, and I believe I can add to your children’s English-learning experience. As a current undergraduate, I am studying Elementary Education with the intention of earning my M.A. in Education on a 5 year fast-track program. As part of my education studies, I am working closely with elementary students every week. In terms of job experience, I worked at Pacsun (a popular clothing chain) as a sales associate, and at Publix (a supermarket chain) as a cashier during the summer of 2021. During the summer of 2022, I worked at a day camp at a country club in my area, where I instructed children in various outdoor activities, such as tennis, soccer, golf, swimming, etc..This experience taught me valuable skills, such as leadership, patience, and initiative. I have also babysat for various families in the past. I demonstrate a good work ethic, responsibility, carefulness/safety, and reliability. I am excited to meet and work with your family, and to be immersed in a foreign culture.
