Hello! My name is Jordin, I am a senior about to graduate from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors degree in sociology and philosophy. I minor in Spanish, volunteer and work in my free time, and enjoy various pursuits that I would love to share with your family. These include playing the piano, guitar, and bass (I play in our orchestra), running, hiking, and working out, and reading and photography, just to name a few.
I want to become an Au Pair for a few reasons. First and most importantly, I think that children are awesome. I have been a summer camp counselor in the past and really enjoyed getting to know the 30+ 3-5 year old children I was taking care of full-time from June to August. Second, I love traveling, and have been to North America (obviously), Europe, Africa, Oceania, and countless states in the Union.
I am a dedicated student and hard worker, and would love to combine an international aspect into a career that somehow involves caring for or protecting children. In the future, I want to work for a large organization such as UNICEF or as a social worker to advocate on behalf of disadvantaged kids. I think that a host would find me pleasant, loyal, and energetic with their children. Finally, I have extensive international experiences for someone my age, and would thrive as well in a dynamic, constantly-changing environment as I would in a calm, nurturing home.
