Letter to the family

Dear host family,

My name is Elisa, I am currently 17 years old, but will be 18 before I start my au pairing.

I am a responsible, open-minded and warm person who loves working with children. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking and traveling. I particularly enjoy getting to know new cultures and languages, which is why I am looking forward to getting to know you and your way of life.

I have already gained experience in looking after children. In doing so, I have learned to be loving, patient and reliable. I am happy to help the children with learning, playing or everyday tasks. Of course, I also help around the house wherever it is needed.

My motivation for becoming an au pair is not only my love of working with children, but also my desire to improve my language skills, get to know a new country and have an unforgettable experience.

I hope to meet you in person soon and look forward to becoming part of your family and supporting you in your everyday life!

Experience

I have already gained some experience in childcare. Firstly, I looked after children in my family, especially my younger siblings and cousins. In doing so, I learned to be patient, creative and reliable.

I want to become an au pair because I love looking after children and would like to get to know new cultures and languages. This experience gives me the opportunity to grow beyond myself, take on responsibility and become part of a new family. My main goal is not only to look after the children, but also to build a trusting relationship with my host family. I also see the au pair year as a chance to get to know life in another country and also to get to know and visit a new country in general.
