Annabel (26 / Ms. ), Dutch, Student - Social Science living in Netherlands looking for Au Pair job in Ireland for 10-12 Months

Dear Host family,

My name is Annabel, I’m a 26-year-old student. At the moment, I’m waiting on my final results of
my master’s degree in pedagogical sciences. I live at home with my parents,
brother and our dog in a small town near Amsterdam. My two older
sisters no longer live at home but they live close by.
In my spare time I love to read and create. I do all kinds of art, but mainly I love
to draw and paint. I also really love playing boardgames and watching cringy
romantic movies.
Aside from my hobbies, I actively contribute to our local community. I am
involved in counselling the youth group at our church, where I organize
activities and events for children between the ages of twelve and eighteen. I
also dedicate my time to babysitting on Sunday mornings, enabling parents to
attend church services
For work I parttime babysit children of all kinds of ages and tutor my
neighbour’s kid in multiple subjects. My experience extends to working with a
four-year-old child on the autism spectrum, whom I entertain and engage with
every Wednesday for approximately seven hours. I have had more weekly
babysitting jobs over the years from babies as young as four months old to two
ten-year-old twins. Furthermore, I have completed two years of internships at
primary schools, allowing me to gain valuable teaching experience with
children.
I have many experiences with working with children and I really enjoy working
with them. I would love to work as an au pair to enjoy a new country while
doing work I like. I have found that each age group offers its unique set of
challenges and rewards. Making a connection with children and really getting
to know them is I believe the most important thing. I think it is crucial to
establish clear expectations at the beginning of our time together, ensuring
everyone is aware of what to expect. As an easy-going person, I am always
open to communication and resolving any concerns that may arise.
I have spent weeks abroad without my parents on several occasions, I am
confident in my ability to adapt to new environments. I can easily call and talk
to my parents. I am really curious about meeting you and to hear about your
children. I hope to hear back from you.
