Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Camilla, my parents both grew up in Poland and I visit my family in Poland every few summers. I have two sisters and many younger cousins that I help take care of. Throughout high school (or secondary school), I ski raced and would babysit in my free time. This winter I coached ski racing for kids 5-10 years old. Since spending so much time with children, I have learned that I love taking care of them and being able to help parents to raise their children makes me happy. I want to be an Au Pair to learn about new cultures and to support families in all ways that I can! I have experience in the outdoor industries since graduating from a class that teaches leadership in outdoor professions. In the outdoor leadership class, I learned survival skills and wilderness first aid; I am CPR certified and due to my interest in health care, I will soon be certified as a nursing assistant. I know a little bit of Spanish and hope to learn more soon!

Experience

I want to be an Au Pair because I enjoy spending time with children and helping them learn how to navigate through everyday life. Becoming an Au Pair abroad is important to me because I believe experiencing different cultures is a valuable part of growing up. Since I have family in Poland that I plan to visit this summer, I am most interested in visiting a European country part of the European Union since I have Polish citizenship and am familiar with these countries.

About me

I love traveling and doing activities in nature, for example: hiking, biking, swimming, rock climbing, and any other sports outside (and inside too)! Besides that, I am interested in healthcare and aspire to become a nurse one day. I am in a nurse aide class with the intention of becoming certified in nurse assisting and working in a nursing home or hospital when I return to the USA. I really enjoy traveling to new places and not only meeting new people, but also helping others as much as I can! I want to continue coaching young ski racers in the winter on weekends back home in Colorado, USA. Lastly, I hope to travel to more continents different from Europe to experience the differences in culture and everyday life in different locations.
