Hello!

My name is Rosie! I'm 25 years old and I'm currently an English teacher in Madagascar through the Fulbright program but am hoping to become an au pair in Europe after my grant ends.

I have bachelor's degrees in International Politics and African Studies as well as a master's degree in International Affairs from the Pennsylvania State University. I speak French and Spanish pretty well and know a little bit of Arabic and Malagasy. I have a TESOL certificate to teach English to second and other learners.

I have lived in 4 countries across three different continents; as you can tell, I love to challenge myself and push myself out of my comfort zone. I also love children. Here in Madagascar, I teach at a public school to children ages 11 through 23. I think learning languages, especially from people different from yourself, is one of the most enriching experiences a child could have. I have also have experience babysitting in two different continents.

I want to become an au pair for a lot of reasons. Firstly, as I said, I love children and I love teaching English. Secondly, I want to live in Europe as I apply to PhD positions across the EU. Thirdly, sadly, the United States is becoming an increasingly scary place to live and I want to get out while I can. Being an au pair is something that I have wanted to do for a while and I'm excited to finally get the experience to do it.

My hobbies include reading, writing, learning languages, and going for walks. I hope that through my favorite hobbies, I can inspire good habits in your children.
