Though I lack professional experience in this field, I grew up in a large family, which allowed me to develop my ability to communicate with and care for people of all ages effectively.

As the eldest sibling, I taught my four younger brothers many essential life skills, such as cooking and how to complete household tasks. This taught them the art of responsibility, but in a fun manner, allowing me to build up a great relationship with them in the process. I also became a young carer when I was 16, as my mother became ill, which allowed me to develop more honed care skills for both adults and children, as I balanced household tasks, whilst also mentally supporting my mother and youngest brother.

Moreover, I have always been close to my grandparents, and n recent years, they required mobility support, as well as assistance with basic household tasks. My grandfather struggled with cancer, and my grandmother developed dementia, and until they passed away/were moved into a care home respectively, I spent a great deal of time caring for them by supporting with day-to-day life, right up until my grandfather's death.

Throughout these trying times, I ensured to remain optimistic and try to make everyone laugh, as I believe a sense of humour is essential in making difficult situations more bearable.
