Hi, my name is Kate,

I study Modern Foreign Languages (Italian and German) at Durham University in the UK and am currently completing my year abroad. As of writing this I have been in milan for just over 1 month completing an Internship., prior to which i have completed an ERASMUS in Regensburg, Germany.

During my time working in Italy thus far, I’ve already fallen in love with the culture, the warmth of its people, and, of course, the beautiful language. However, I’ve only seen one perspective; the more professional and structured one. Now, I am eager to refine my Italian by exploring a different and more personal side of Italian life, engaging in real conversations that only a close-knit family environment can offer.

I would describe myself as someone who is creative, I enjoy, reading, sport (particularly motorsport, football and volleyball), and fashion design. Being what I would like to think of as good cook I’m always happy to lend a hand in the kitchen and with household tasks. I'm responsible, organised and clean, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children; I also have a first aid qualification which I'm sure may provide some peace of mind. I believe these qualities make me a good fit for family life and the role of an Au Pair.

As a child I grew up with a new Au Pair every year- while to some this may seem rather odd I think this experience has uniquely prepared myself for working as an Au Pair. I am very aware of the importance of building a relationship with the children, being part of their growth, and sharing a bit of my own culture in return.

Being still in touch with many of my previous Au Pairs- I always akin my experience to having multiple sisterly figures and I would be honoured to be able to be this for your children.
