Hi there,

My name is Annie and I am a 30 year old, British Primary School Teacher, from Worcestershire in England. During my 7 year teaching career, I have taught children from the age of 5 to 11 years old. Last year, I took a career break to go travelling. I worked for a luxury chalet company in the French Alps as the Childcare Manager. In this role, I supported a team of 12 nannies, who provided childcare for children aged 3 months - 13 years old.

In the U.K., I am a home-owner, which means I have extensive knowledge of the maintenance and running of a property. I also have 2 cats, but love all animals, so I'd be really happy to help out with the care of a family pet.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors. I love skiing, cycling, horse riding and running. I would love the opportunity to live in Canada and experience what the Canadian mountains have to offer. Hence I would be looking for a family that live near to a ski resort, which I would utilise during my time off.

I am looking for a live in position, as I am from the UK. I am sociable and enjoy meeting new people, but I am quiet, tidy and respectful at home. I would love to work for a family who are welcoming, friendly and like to have lots of fun!

Experience

I am a fully qualified British Primary School Teacher. I have taught children from 5 years old - 11 years old. I have an extensive knowledge of the British National Curriculum, so hopefully should be a dab hand at homework help! In my last school, I was part of the senior leadership team and supported a team of 14 staff members to provide education to wide range of children. I have lots of experience teaching children with Special Needs and challenging behaviour.

During winter 2024, I worked in the French Alps as the Childcare Manager for a luxury chalet company. We provided childcare for children, while their parents spent the day skiing. I led a team of 12 nannies, who cared for children from the ages of 3 months old through to 13 years old. I supported and trained nannies in giving personal care to children under the age of 4 years old. For older children, I planned and managed exciting activities to entertain them, after a morning on the slopes.

I am paediatric first aid trained.
I have held a British Driving Licence for 12 years. I am a confident driver and have experience driving abroad.
I hold a British DBS, which certifies that I am safe to work with children.
