Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Jessie and I am 27 years old. I grew up in Worthington, Ohio which is a suburb outside of the state capital of Columbus. I have a younger sister as well as two step brothers, and on top of that we have a very large family who have always been a crucial part of my life.

I am interested in becoming an Au Pair and/or Nanny for multiple reasons, the biggest being my drive to work with children. As I will explain in more detail in the experience section, I have worked with children in multiple dynamics since I was young myself and it has always been something I have loved and valued. I chose to join this website in hopes I can find another way to further my abilities to work with families and in doing so, I will also be able to learn about different cultures and people.

I would love to have a candidate host me and feel I qualify/could bring a lot of help to their family. I am a single, 27 year old woman with no children, and I have obtained education all the way up through my bachelors degree. I am trained in healthcare, as well as tutoring, and I have years of experience with children. I do not smoke, have no criminal history, and have cooking and cleaning experience.

Experience

My experience with children ranges. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old in my neighborhood, and before that I cared for my younger sister and cousins. When I was 17, I got a job in my churches nursery caring for newborn infants all the way up to age 3. In middle school and high school, I volunteered during my lunch break to play games with students who had developmental disabilities, and I continued to work with groups like those all the way through college. Another experience I have is working at a summer camp with children ranging ages 5-16. I was also an in home nanny for 2 little girls, ages 2 and 6, for 1 year. I worked 45 hours a week, have experience with potty training, schooling, sleep schedules, behavioral issues, etc.

I would love the chance to work with a family abroad to learn about, and form connections with, the culture, people, and mostly the family I work with.
