My name is Grace. I am 22 years old and I am from Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), but am currently in my final year at university in Bath, studying social sciences. I want to become an Au Pair as I really enjoy spending time with children, and would find it a rewarding experience to be a part of their daily lives. Being an au Pair in a French-speaking country would also give me the opportunity to improve my spoken French language, a skill that I would love to develop.

I am outgoing, responsible and adaptable, as well as keen to immerse myself in a new culture. I believe all of these things are important for being an Au Pair. I am always up for getting involved in a range of activities, from sport to arts and crafts, helping with homework, or even just playing. I am also always happy to help out around the house, and enjoy being an active part of family life. I am therefore excited by the opportunity to support a host family in their day-to-day life, as well as to experience a new culture and improve my French.

Whilst I have never been an Au Pair before, I babysat on a regular basis throughout my teenage years for several families in my village. I really enjoyed having a laugh with the children that I babysat for, and I built strong relationships with both the children and their parents. I also have work experience in hospitality, which has taught me the importance of clear communication, patience and problem-solving. Finally, after having lived away from home for the past four years, I am confident in my ability to take care of myself and others. I believe that these experiences have prepared me well to be a reliable, fun and enthusiastic Au Pair.
