Dear family, welcome to my profile!

My name is Samira, I am 21 years old and live in Switzerland. At the moment I am planning to travel this year before I start my psychology studies in 2024. Since I enjoy spending my time with children, it's a great opportunity to travel the world and be an Au Pair / Nanny.

I am a very open minded, energetic and curious person who likes to learn new cultures, languages and to integrate with people. My qualities include reliability, compassion and responsibility. As I am the eldest sister of a family of 5, I already have years of experience in babysitting, within the family and also as a part-time job as a student.

Experience

I have enjoyed spending time with children from a very young age. As I have already had very good experiences abroad as an aupair I would like to gain more experience as it combines traveling and spending time with family and children.

Here are a few impressions from my experience so far:

- lovingly cared, cooked and cleaned for two wonderful girls aged 15 months for 35 hrs/week abroad for one month
- oversaw the health, social and emotional needs of children aged 2 months to 15 years
- helped babies prepare for bedtime such as bathing, changing into night clothes and reading a bedtime story
- planned and organised trips with children (6 months - 15 years) to enjoy local features such as the lake, library and zoo
- designed and led daily activities to implement education and physical activity
- handled basic household duties and cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner
- provided educational guidance in subjects such as German, math and reading for kids in grade 1 to 6
