Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a friendly Chinese family with two daughters, one of whom is studying at university in the UK and currently living with our 11-year-old daughter, who is studying at an international primary school in Shanghai. My husband and I run a food company together. My husband is a famous pastry chef in China. We love to travel, cook and learn about world cultures. If you love food, our family will give you more opportunities to taste food from different parts of China and learn how to make food.
We live in the most prosperous economic center of China, Shanghai, which is the most famous modern city in China. From Monday to Thursday we will live in Lingang District of Pudong New Area, which is a brand new resort area with Disneyland, Sea World, the largest ski resort in China, close to the sea, very beautiful and quiet, "Lingang" is also a university town with many schools, our daughter's primary school is near our home. We live in an upscale new neighborhood with three separate bedrooms and a spacious living and dining room with modern decor. We will prepare a comfortable bedroom for the future au pair. Our company is located in the center of Shanghai, 60 kilometers away from my residence. It takes one hour by subway and one hour by car. We will drive to the company after our daughter goes to school. 30 Back home, if you need to enter the downtown area of Shanghai, we can drive to pick you up. On weekends, we will go back to my parents' home in downtown Shanghai and reunite with my parents. On Sunday afternoon, we will go back to "Lingang", where the au pair can stay alone and arrange their rest day freely.

We want future au pairs to love children and be patient enough to accompany our children. We will treat you as our family and share Chinese language and culture with you. If you can encourage my daughter to speak English step by step and create an environment for them to speak English, that would be great.

Job Description

My husband and I run a food company together and design baking recipes. My husband can use English for daily communication, and my English level is relatively basic, which is expected to help our family improve their English level. We will carefully prepare a comfortable and beautiful bedroom for your arrival, which has a bed, table and chairs, wardrobe, Internet and so on. We want you to accompany your child to study, exercise, play, especially to guide fluent communication in English, or even to learn Spanish or French. We will also treat you like our own family, communicate with each other, learn together, and grow together.

Accommodation

If the au pair is interested in cooking, they can also operate by themselves or cook Chinese or even Western food together. The au pair's room is a separate bedroom, and we respect the au pair's personal space. The au pair is mainly responsible for the children's study and play after school, working within 7 hours a day, rest two days a week, Friday and Saturday are rest days, if it is a holiday need more time to accompany the children. During the summer holidays in July and August, we will have a family trip planned and we are also happy to invite au pairs to travel with us, we will cover the cost of the trip, in addition to the cost of items purchased privately.
