Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi there，
We are parents of a 2.5 year old boy from China. We live in Shenzhen, a big city in Southern China (only 30min by train from Hong Kong). We have lived in Europe (Switzerland/Germany/France/Finland) for many years, but our son is born in China. We hope to give him a language environment at his early age, therefore we are looking for a young au pair who can take care of him a few hours per day before and after his day care. At the same time, there is a nanny who helps me do cooking (mainly dinner) and cleaning. We can provide an individual room for you, small but lovely. Our apartment is located in the center of the city. Within 20 mins you can get to big malls and parks.

We are flexible with your schedule as long as you can interact actively with the kid. Let me know your expectation and interests.

Job Description

There is a small room for you, around 6-7 square meters, with a big window and nice view, especially during sunset hours. We have 2 bathrooms in the apartment, so most of the time you can enjoy the guest bathroom alone. The kitchen is small but in a western style with dishwasher. We have also washing machine and drying machine in the balcony. The apartment is not big but very lovely (2 bedrooms, 1 study room, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room and a separated ktichen). I have nothing to complain about its location as well.

You are not expected to do the housework, but I hope you can keep your room clean. I hope you can take care of your lunch (food can be provided) because no one is at home from 10am-16pm (my son is going to his day-care). I hope you can help our nanny prepare breakfast and send /pick up the kid to/from his day care. It would be great if you can do outdoor activities with him. So the working hours starts from 16:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Friday. During weekends, I hope you can accompany us more intensively.
