Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear incoming au pair:
We are a loving Chinese family with a cute toddler girl. We are seeking the companionship of an au pair sister to engage with my daughter and foster a bilingual environment at home.

We live in Hangzhou and Wenzhou, two major modern cities in south-east China. Our apartment in Wenzhou is in the center of the city, next to the city park and musuems. The community is well-equipped with a gym (free to use) and swimming pools. Our house locates in Hangzhou City. It is a spacious Chinese-style villa with a garden. The community is beautiful (in traditional Chinese style, it's very cool!!!) and the location is super convenient. We will prepare a comfortable bedroom for our future au pair.

We already had a very nice experience hosting an au pair from Italy. So we understand the procedure and the problems you might encounter pretty well. Now we are having another au pair from Spain who will stay with us till June 2025. We have formed very close relationships with both au pairs and we really have a great experience. If you need recommendation letters from the previous au pairs, we would be happy to offer.

We hope the future au pair adores kids and to be patient to handle my child. We will take you as our family members and share with you Chinese language, culture and of course delicious food:)

Job Description

Duties:

Your main responsibility is to provide an immersive English-speaking environment. Few household chores need to be done since we have a full-time nanny.The specific tasks are as follows.

1)Play with my daughter. Take her out to play (including parks, museum, zoo, tourist sight etc.,)

2)Teach her basic daily English (in an engaging and patient way)

3)Pack up baby's toys after play

4)Keep your own bedroom and bathroom tidy

5)Be reliable, caring and patient

Benefits:

1)Meals
We will provide 3 meals per day. We can cook both Chinese food and western food. It's negotiable. Normally we have Chinese meals. If you are OK with it, feel free to join us! it's a very important part of Chinese culture.
If you like to cook by yourself, feel free to do it. But remember to clean up the kitchen after cooking.
You can also order delivery food at your will and we will reimburse that.

2)Accommodation
Our apartment in Wenzhou is in the center of the city, next to the city parks and museums. It is a modern high-rise building with great view of the city and the wetland. The community is well-equipped with a gym (free to use) and swimming pools. A clean bedroom and a separate bathroom will be provided for you.

Our house locates in Xihu District, Hangzhou City. It is a spacious villa with a garden. The community is beautiful (in traditional Chinese style, it's very cool!!!) and the location is super convenient, next to tourist sites and malls. We will prepare a comfortable bedroom for our future au pair (with a private bathroom, high-speed wifi, ventilation system and central air-conditioning).

You will live in our homes in both cities (Wenzhou and Hangzhou) so you can explore different places in China.

3)Travel
If you are interested in travelling, we will take you to explore different cities and tourist sites around China.

4)Language Course
We will provide financial support for your language course if you would like to improve your Chinese.

5)Travel Cost (air ticket and visa fee)
If you stay more than 5 months, we will pay all the fee.
