Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family of 4 and resident in the beautiful city of Aberdeen, Scotland in the United Kingdom.
We have 2 lovely kids - a 3 years old boy and 5 year old girl.
Our daughter attends Nursery Monday - Friday (9am -3pm) and is in Primary 1. Our son will be starting nursery in January and will be attending Monday - Friday (1pm - 5pm).
They both attend the same school which is about 7 minutes walk from our house.
All other essential amenities including two small playparks, two small grocery shops and a 24/7 gym are within walking distances of no more than 15 minutes from our house. Both parents are medical research doctors.
We own a three bedroom, two bathroom house in the south of the city, and about 10 min bus ride to the city center.

Job Description

The successful au pair will mainly be working Monday - Friday but will be needed for a half day one Saturday every ten weeks as mum works those days.

A typical work day in our household for the successful au pair includes:
- Looking after the kids
- Getting them ready in the morning and feeding them through the day (Most of the food is usually prepared by their mum over the weekend)
- Dropping off and picking up kids from school (Dad will do some drop offs)
- Tidying up the kids room and sorting out their laundry/wardrobe (Dad does all the laundry washing, so not to worry)
- Light house chores such as ensuring the house is tidy.

As mum does the house cooking every weekend, a bit of help with getting the kids bathed and clothed will be expected.
