Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

I am a Scottish mum of two young kids, and work as a lawyer. My husband is a Brazilian/Portuguese chef. We have a baby boy and a three year old girl.

I am going back to work part time, and we are looking for someone to look after the baby in the home while I work (also from home), while our little girl is at nursery. I will likely be working three days a week. Help with light housework would also be great, as my husband works very long hours so I do everything by myself at the moment.

We are looking for a native Portuguese speaker to help the children to learn Portuguese. Fluency in English is not required. This would be a great opportunity to learn/improve your English.

We live in Bridge of Don, close to the University of Aberdeen. The city has two universities and you would have the chance to meet many students here from all over the world. You would be welcome to travel with us on any trips we take around Scotland/the UK.

Job Description

Taking care of the baby three days a week while mum is working from home. You would feed and play with the baby, change his nappies, and bring him to Mum if he needs breast milk. Help with light housework - tidying and a little cleaning. Mondays and Tuesdays will likely be your free days to explore and do as you wish. Wednesday - Friday will most likely be the days I need help with the baby. At weekends, some help with the children would be great but this is not needed all day.

Accommodation

At the moment we could accommodate an au pair in a shared (large) bedroom with our daughter. We are planning to move to a bigger house shortly, so we are hoping to be able to provide the au pair her own room.
