Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello,
We are a young family based in Alba, in the north of Italy, close to the French border. I'm Vittorio, Italian, and my wife is Belgian. We are the proud parents of Emily, a cheerful 2-year-old. Alba is a beautiful, peaceful, and small town, mainly known for its exceptional gastronomy (particularly white truffle), stunning rolling hills and vineyards, and as the hometown of Ferrero, the famous chocolate multinational (Nutella).

We live a couple of kilometers outside the historic city center, in a residential area surrounded by countryside and hazelnut fields, but also within walking distance of cafés, bakeries, bus stops, and the train station. The train station is especially convenient: our local station is just one stop away from Alba's center and also provides easy access to Turin (and its airport), which is only an hour away.

Our recently renovated house offers a warm and welcoming environment. We have prepared a private room for you on the ground floor, located right next to the bathroom. The room is close to the common areas but remains separate, giving you plenty of privacy. We are confident you'll feel comfortable and at home.

We are a social and open-minded family. Both of us work full-time, and we'd love to share our life with someone who can lend a hand with our daily routine during the week, especially with Emily in the early mornings, afternoons after school, and on occasions when she’s unwell.
