Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi!

We’re a very easy and flexible family living in Enschede, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our second au pair. Our current au pair from Mexico has been with us for 8 months and is staying for another three. You’re welcome to speak with her for a reference or interviewshe’d be happy to share her experience.

You’ll have your own electric bike, a transport card, and a mobile phone, so it’s easy to get around. The city center is only 10 minutes away. The train station is also close, so you can explore the Netherlands on your days off.

You’ll usually have weekends off to visit other cities or just relax. We also own a house in Spain and sometimes travel there, so if you’d like, you’re welcome to join us!

Job Description

We expect from the au pair to take care of the children. Play with them, swim with them, take them to day time excursions like aquarium, zoo, parks, etc after school. On school days prepare the lunch boxes, help in the morning and bring them and collect them from School. We also travel to our holiday home in Spain frequently so you will be going with us then as well. And because we are in Spain; a lot of sunscreen protection for the kids. Teach them a little bit English and or Spanish. It is nice if you have your drivers license. If not you can do everything by bike as well as everything is close by. The job combines taking care of the kids, some normal cleaning, doing some laundry and prepare dinner.

You will have a year subscription on the train to travel for free on the weekends and with discount in the evenings.
You will be provided with a sim card for your phone so you can easily stay in contact with friends and relatives.
If you like, you can have a year subscription on the museum

Accommodation

The au pair will have her own studio with private shower and toilet. High speed wifi is all available as well as a TV with Netflix/Disney/HBO/etc. There is a private heated swimming pool. If we go to Spain you will have your own room there as well with a shared shower. Also facilities in Spain, same as in the neterlands, will be excellent.
