Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

*** Our au pair unfortunately has a visa problem and can no longer travel back to us and therefore we are urgently looking for someone from October 2024!!

Hello!
We are a German-Japanese family (everyday language German) and are looking for an au pair to look after our 1 and 3 year old sons after kindergarten. We have already had 2 au pairs and always had a positive experience! We had / still have very good relationships with 2 former Au-Pairs.

Job Description

We are looking for someone, not a servant or nanny, but a new family member, like a big sister or brother for our children, maybe someone who wants to stay longer in Germany, who we can have a good relationship with even after the au pair period, like family members who have moved out

Your tasks:
- Childcare between 14:30-19 h
- Clean up the dishwasher
- If the weather is good, pick up children from kindergarten (max. 2 times a week)
- Light housework as a family member (cleaning up together after dinner, tidying up toys, etc.)
- Keep your rooms & bathrooms clean
- We ask for a little more support when dad is away on business (1-2 times a month).

You can go to the language school in the mornings. There are several language schools all around (30-60 min away).

Accommodation

We live in a newly built house that has a bit of an American style. The house has a large wooden terrace and garden. We have a private room and bathroom for the au pair. All basic facilities are available in your room. There is also a desk with a PC monitor in your room.
