Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,

I'm Zoé, 6 years old, and I'm Amelia, almost 4.

Right now, we have a great au pair, Flavie, but she's leaving this summer. We'll be a bit sad but also excited to meet a new au pair!

We go to school from 8:30 to 15:00 (Wednesdays until 12:00) and sometimes to after-school care. You’ll pick us up (13 min by e-bike) and take us to activities or playdates.

In winter, we love staying home; in summer, we enjoy parks and picnics. We like drawing, painting, baking (and eating!) cakes and pizza. Zoé loves pasta (but not every day!), and Amelia eats everything—even broccoli! She's also a bit shy at first.

We love playing, going to museums, and cafés with our au pair. We can’t wait to meet you! Would you like to visit us for a weekend?

Job Description

Au Pair Responsibilities (30h/week – 350 EUR/week)

Childcare (17h/week)

>School pick-up & afternoon care (13h)
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 14:45 – 18:15 (3.5h each) → 10.5h total
- Wednesday: 12:30 – 17:30 (5h)
- Thursday: School pick-up only (30 min) → 0.5h

Evening babysitting (~5h average/week)
- One week: 2h, another week: 4h (based on need)

Household & Cooking (13h/week)
- Food planning and ordering online (1h/week)
- Cooking 4-5 times a week

Light household tasks (4h/week)
- Folding kids' clothes
- Vacuuming twice a week
- Empty the dishwasher in the morning

Days off: Sundays & Mondays (flexible)
