Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au-pair,

We are Phoebe and Valentijn. We live in Amsterdam with our two beautiful kids. Our daughter, Philippa (Pippa), is 4 years old, and our son, Benjamin (Benji), is 2 :)

We live in central Amsterdam (Weesper/Plantage area) at less then 5 minutes walking distance of the tram and metro stop at Weesperplein. Supermarkets, as well as restaurants, parks, playgrounds and entertainment, are within walking (or biking) distance. Also our daycare and school are at a 5 minute walk from the house.

Our current au-pair is leaving us in February, so we are looking for a new enthusiastic, caring and hands-on au-pair to help us out in our daily routine from February onwards! We are looking for someone who is independent and not afraid to take two kids out for a walk in the park or to the playground :)

Job Description

2 days 'fulltime' days of babysitting (Mon and Wed).
2 days of bringing Benjamin to daycare (Tue and Thu) in the morning and picking him up in the afternoon, as well as taking care of them until we get home from work.
Mon-Thur also bringing Philippa to school and picking her up.
One evening a week of babysitting (Fri).

Accommodation

We live in Amsterdam, close to the city center, in a 3 story apartment on the ground floor (with a garden). Our au-pair has a studio with balcony on the top floor, including a small kitchen (stove, fridge, sink) and a shower - providing enough privacy outside of working hours for both the au-pair and the family :)
