Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Candidate,

Thanks for your interest in the job advertised.

We are a family of 4. Myself and my spouse are in early 40s. We speak 3 languages at home, English, French, and Turkish. Our son is 7 years old and currently going to a private French school in Ankara (from 8am to 5pm). We have a Filipino live-in Nanny, over the past 7 years (our 4th member of the family). Our house is located in Ankara, well connected to the city center via bus and subway, and offers plenty of green space and clean air.We are both open minded and welcome the diversity of the different cultures.

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, live-in Nanny to support our family. The main responsibility of the nanny will be to take care of our son, in particular:

- support preparation for school, i.e., waking up our son, preparing breakfast, preparing school bag, and accompanying until to the school bus, etc.
- help with assignments & homework
- support language development in English and, if possible, in French (it is not mandatory for the candidate to speak French, but those who can speak English and French will be prioritized).

Since our son leaves home at 7:15 am and returns at 5:15 pm from Monday to Tuesday and 4:45 pm from Wednesday to Friday, in between, it is expected Nanny will undertake:

- household chores, i.e., cooking, cleaning, vacuuming, ironing, shopping, etc. (this item is subject to negotiation with the candidate depending on the credentials)
- tiding up the house

This job offers flexibility and significant free time as long as the candidate meticulously undertakes the expected activities.

We expect honesty, kindness, patience, positivity, and professionalism to undertake the activities as mentioned earlier with minimum supervision.

Turkish Labor Law and related regulations will be followed in terms of contractual agreements to obtain a work visa which offers the provision of health security and pension.
