Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair/Nanny,
We are very much looking forward to meeting you and having you with us in our home! We have a lot of friends with whom we have created a wonderful relationship centered around the children. We believe we will do the same with you and include you in our circle of friends. We live in Arlington, MA, a suburb adjacent to Cambridge, MA and close to the city of Boston, MA. Boston is a wonderful city, it is on the east coast of the US, north of New York City. We live in a quiet neighborhood, but the subway stop is 10 minutes walking distance from the house, and from there we can reach the city of Boston in less than 20 minutes.
My name is Diego and I am the father of a girl and a boy called Elisa and Alessio, both 8 years old, they are twins! I am a single father; I live with my children and we also have a very cute dog called Lilly. She’s a white and brown American Cocker Spaniel. We had a full-time nanny until now, but it came time for her to retire, because of her age. We’re looking forward to welcoming an Au Pair or a new nanny to help us in this new chapter of our life!

Our ideal Au Pair/Nanny is someone responsible who help us with the activities centered around Elisa and Alessio. Someone who plays with them and provides them with love and excitement. This is what they have experienced so far! At the same time, we have a lot to offer, we know different cultures, languages, and travel when possible. There are many schools in Boston to attend during the free time.
We can go to the mountains of New England during the winter and to the beaches during the summer!

Job Description

I work 5 days a week, some days from my office in Boston, other days from home in my home-office. I can be in the house, but my work keeps me very busy and I need help with the children. I will ask you to start the day with Elisa and Alessio at 6.30AM, getting them dressed, have breakfast, and walk them to school by 8.00AM (15 min walk). They finish school at 2.30PM most days, and at 1.00PM one day a week. You will pick them up each day, come back, provide something to eat, and then do some homework with them during the afternoon. They started weekly activities, such as gymnastics, and swimming. You will kindly take them to the facilities, either walking or by car if necessary. Driver's license is necessary. They will need dinner and a bath each day by 7PM. At 7PM I take over, read them a book and put them in bed to sleep by 8.30PM. I spend the weekends with them but will need your help on Sunday afternoons (1.00-7.00PM) when I usually go to run errands necessary for the house. You will need to cook and do laundry for them.
