Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dober dan! Thanks for taking the time to view our profile. We are relocating to Slovenia in March! Our daughter Elliott is enrolled in vrtec from 8am-3:30pm on weekdays, and mom and I want a little extra time to go out to dinner, see shows, etc.

We're looking forward to meeting a great match. Elliott is a smart girl, and quite a pleasure to hang out with. She's learning about independence and has been asserting herself a bit, so we like to give her an environment conducive to that growth.

Job Description

(Living in Ljubljana! Gabrovka is a small village about 45 minutes outside LJ, we have an address there but rent/live in the city for school. Ljubljana is where we will need live-in assistance with Elliott.)

We need someone who connects well with kids, and makes her feel safe and comfortable to express herself fully. We may occasionally need help with shopping for groceries or running errands, but mostly just need regularly available evening care for her to allow more versatility when planning our evenings together.

On days out of daycare, she takes a long walk every morning, naps between 1 and 3pm, and goes to sleep by 9pm.

No more than 1hr of screen-time allowed per day! (she likes sesame street and bluey)

Accommodation

We own a house in Gabrovka with 3 bedrooms, and will spend some time there, but we are also renting in LJ so Elliott can go to vrtec, and mom and dad can go to Slovene language classes, and enjoy mesto life.

Wifi included, Au Pair may have a private bathroom to share with the family, or may have their own, but won't have to share the amenities with any neighbors!

We will need more help with Elliott in Ljubljana than when we are in the village, so we aim to acquire another long-term rental with greater accommodation in city center soon. We will update this listing when we have photos of the accommodations.

Pocket money is negotiable! (we specified 250/mo. for ~20hr/wk. but we won't have high time-demand. So you'll have a lot of free time, but we want you to be comfortable and able to live your life as well. We won't leave you hanging, even if it's a lite work-week.
