Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au pair,
welcome! We are Emanuele, Sara and little Agata (2 years old). We live in a house in the historic center of a small medieval village (Avigliana, not far from Turin). Our house is a 10-minute walk from the train station that takes you to the city center of Turin (20 minutes) or to the mountains on the border with France (30 minutes). Within a 10-minute walk from our house are two lakes where you can enjoy water sports and beautiful walks. Avigliana is a small town full of stores, restaurants, cinemas, bars, gathering places, etc. There are language schools in the town center (10/15 minute walk).

Job Description

We are looking for an Au pair who can take care of our 2-year-old daughter Agata, picking her up when she leaves kindergarten and spending time with her until dinner time (from about 3:45 to 7:00 pm). Specifically, we are looking for someone who will speak to her exclusively in English and do games and educational activities in English with her. Occasionally, we may need help to look after Agata in case of illness or school holidays during the whole day or in the evening in case of our work commitments. Finally, we would need a person to help with small household chores (folding laundry, hanging laundry, dishwashing, cooking for Agata).

Accommodation

Our house is divided into three floors, with 3 bathrooms. The Au pair will have his or her own room (furnished with a bed, closet, desk, bookcase and a piano) and a personal toilet (toilet and sink). The other two bathrooms are shared with the whole family and the Au pair and are both equipped with showers. The house also has two living rooms, kitchen, 2 other bedrooms, laundry room, garden and a terrace for summer dinners. There is wifi and a library equipped with books in Italian/English/French/Spanish.
