Work abroad in Ludivine's family for 12-12 Months starting from Oct 2024 as an Au Pair to take care of 2 children of 6 - 10 years old in Avignon, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur France

We are a family of 3 (myself and my two 10-year old twins, Georgia and Sebastian). We are living in the south of France in AVIGNON and are looking for an au-pair.

Myself I am the twin's mother, I am in my early 40s and I work full time as the finance director at a local company. I am French.

Georgia and Sebastian attend local school and the role is to look after them after school (from 430pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 1130am on Wednesday). It's a very active role as they are active kids are do a lot of activities: ballet and other dance style for Georgia, football, rowing and music for Sebastian. Everything is easily accessible by foot or public transport.

It would be easy for you to learn French as you should have ample time while the kids are at school and most weekend would be free. You would need to accompany them to their activities, make sure they do their homework afterwards, have lunch with them on Wednesdays.

Your weekends should mostly be free unless I need your from time to time to look after one of the kids on Saturday morning. We try to go on a day-trip one sunday per month to visit the region a bit - you will be welcome to join (or not as you prefer).

The kids speak english and french fluently and they have learnt Chinese - it would be good if you could spend time to teach them once or twice a week.

AVIGNON is in the South-East of France, not to far from Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Nice... It's a middle size city, quite good for students as there are a few schools and universities. It's a cultural city with many opportunity for music, theatre, art notably. Our flat is in the city center, inside the old city hall so it's easy to go around. It's in a traditional French building from the 19th century and relatively big for us (7 rooms, 165 square meters). You would have your own room but share a bathroom with Sebastian. Of course we have basic commodities including wifi.

The kids regularly visit their grandparent in Bordeaux and in Brittany. You will be welcome to accompany them although at their grandparent you would be more like a guest and should have more free time. We also sometime spend the weekend in Paris where my brother lives.
