Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family of four with a touch of German, Greek and American heritage.

The city center of Bad Homburg is 10 mins by bus away from the house.

VHS language school is in Bad Homburg (10 mins by bus away) and one in the town close by called Oberursel.

The underground (U2) is 800m away from the house and gets you to Frankfurt city in 30 mins.

If you are a non-EU passport holder, please only get in touch if you have a basic level of German, i.e., A1 certificate. Germany is quite strict when it comes to incoming non-EU passport holding Aupairs. The German Embassy will examine the Aupair's basic knowledge of German, so it might be helpful for you to inquire at the local embassy in advance to find out what level of language proficiency is deemed sufficient for an AuPair visa for Germany.

Other than that we look for someone to help produce healthy meals and snacks for the children while at work and to help clean up after the children (with them if necessary).

Accommodation

We live in a 4 bed house in a quiet, safe neighbourhood.

The Au Pair room (10m2) is located on the ground floor, next to the shared bathroom (shared with the children, as this is the only bathtub in the house) and guest WC. This room is currently our guest room/office. All of the furniture, except for the bed, will be removed. We will provide any additional furniture that is required by the AuPair. The remaining bedrooms for the family are on the 1st floor.
