Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Our home is located in Bad Vilbel, a peaceful suburb just outside of Frankfurt am Main, with excellent access to Germany’s public transportation system. Bus stops are only a short walk away, and the Bad Vilbel train station connects you to the heart of Frankfurt in just 20 minutes. We’re currently in the process of renovating our home — transitioning from a cozy, character-filled house to a more modern, open-plan space. While things may be a bit in flux at times, we will always have a dedicated private bedroom for you, and we appreciate your flexibility as we may occasionally share bathroom space during the renovation period.

The neighborhood is family-friendly with bike paths and playgrounds close by, and we try to be outdoors and active with the kids as much as possible. We currently allow very minimal screen time and focus on interactive play, creativity, and lots of reading together. We have high-speed internet throughout the house so you can easily stay connected with friends, family, or online learning.

After fully dedicating ourselves to our children’s earliest years without outside employment, we are now working to build a family business together. As our home life and work life evolve, we are looking for a kind, engaged, and dependable au pair to support us and become a meaningful part of our growing household.

Job Description

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and proactive au pair to join our family and help support us during an exciting time as we build our family business. Your main role will be to keep our two young children actively engaged through play, outdoor activities, creative projects, and reading—whether we are home working or occasionally away. We value presence, imagination, and curiosity, and we aim to minimize screen time in favor of real-world experiences.

In addition to childcare, we’d love your help in keeping the house tidy and organized as part of daily routines (such as tidying toys, setting or clearing the table, or loading the dishwasher). We also welcome your participation in family meals—especially if you enjoy cooking and sharing culturally meaningful dishes from your home country!

Working hours are flexible, and we’re happy to coordinate a schedule that works well for all of us. There are no driving responsibilities required for this position.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a bilingual, multicultural home, values active and meaningful time with children, and is happy to contribute to a respectful, team-oriented household.
