Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We have two plans for our aupair. The first is 17 hours (AT MOST) per week. 400 euros. One child, almost 6 years old, which means is easy to take care of.

The second is bonus plan. For example, if our kid likes you (+25 euros/per month), we feel you are a family member, not just an employee (+25 euros/per month), you are really focused to teach her (+25 euros/per month), you try your best to follow our schedule (+25 euros/per month), you can definitely get 100 euros per month for bonus. The other 100 euros per month depends on her English progress.

Job Description

** The available time slot is
1) either the middle of June to middle of July,
2) or the middle of July to middle of August.
For this one month staying, the flight ticket would be expensive if you are in USA right now. We can pay a portion, like 100 or 200 euros for two months stay, I am not sure how much we can reimburse, by a large chance it depends on how it is going. But we wont cover the full flight... Please think about it carefully (if you come from USA). For those who come from UK. It does not have this issue.

Our current Aupair will leave in the middle of June. Our next aupair will come in the middle of August.
**

Schedule:
AT MOST 20 hours per week. 500 Euros per month. The aupair will have two days off each week, while the remaining work hours will be scheduled by us. The working hours is flexible, both for the aupair, and for us. Typical schedule can see the image above.

Holidays:
In holidays, we may need the aupair to work more (because our kid dont go to school). We pay the aupair 1.5 times hourly wage beyond those working hours. But generally it wont be more than 1 - 2 hours extra.

Bonus plan:
Every month bonus is 0 euros to 200 euros. It depends your performance, like
1) are you focused to teach her? does she have a lot of progress?
3) Do you always respect our schedule?
4) Do you have a good relationship with us? and with our child?
5) something like this..

Family trip:
We may invite the aupair to join family trips abroad during vacations (in most cases, the employer covers travel and accommodation costs, while the aupair covers their personal expenses, including food). During such trips, you dont need to take care of our child, but as long as the aupair stay with us to hang out, we count it as 2 working hours per day.

Flight ticket (negotiable):
For those au pairs who come from UK. After 4 weeks staying, the flight ticket can be reimbursed (maximum 50 euros, flight from London to Montpellier is only around 20 euros, non-peak time). After 3 months staying, we pay the flight leaving France to UK (maximum 50 euros). If you come from UK. You can come here to have a trial period no more than one month. For those au pairs who come from USA/Canada/Australia. After 6 months staying, we can pay for the flight leaving France (maximum 400 euros, which we believe is enough for economic flight).

Food/public transportation:
Personal stuff (like clothes/books/phone bill), au pairs pay by yourselves. In our home, we always keep we have enough food for all the people, including the aupairs. For the foods that only aupair needs, au pairs pay by themselves. For example, we don’t eat cheese, we don’t drink alcohol, so aupairs need to pay by themselves. We eat rice, potatoes, noodles, meat, fruits and vegetables so aupair don’t need to pay for that. In our city, public transportation is FREE excluding the train. In Europe, public transportation is very very convenient. Aupair can apply for a free public transportation card once they are here.
