Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi there! We're Nikole, Jason, our son, Jake (7) and our daughter, Clara (4).

We are originally from Los Angeles, but have also spent fourteen years in New Zealand (mainly in Wellington), the last three years in San Diego (in California), and have recently moved to Brisbane, here in Australia.

We are your pretty typical, laid back California family - we enjoy the beach and travelling around places. Both Jason and I work regular, 9-5ish jobs M-F, with a bit of international travel to and from Auckland (in New Zealand) for work.

Job Description

We're looking for an au pair to join us for at least six months, mainly to help get the kids up and out the door in the mornings, and to help with school and kindy pick-ups. In a regular week, we'd sort of expect you to be on call and helping out between 8 and 5ish, M-F, but noting that the kids would mainly either be at school or kindy during school terms, so it would mainly be helping out in the mornings and afternoons before we both got home from work, as well as perhaps a bit of bundling the kids in to bed around bedtime. :)

You'd have your own bedroom, mobile phone, and a car to utilize to get around town, although we're very close to the CBD and bus service is decidely easy and quick. Meals are obviously included, and we'd also pay for your health insurance, as well as any visa fee costs to enter Australia.
