Job Description

Hello! We are an Italian-American family living in a village 15 minutes outside Basel, Switzerland. We have two children, a 5 YO daughter named Sofia, and a 2 1/2 YO son named Leonardo. We speak both English and Italian, and are learning German. This position is part-time childcare with some housekeeping duties such as organization, laundry assistance, and cooking. Cooking will be required once a day, so experience with cooking or passion to learn is a must. We cook Italian in our household and are happy to teach, though are also glad to experience cuisines from other cultures! There is plenty to do and see in and around Basel, Switzerland's cultural capital, as well as lots of access to nature. Being at the intersection of three countries, Basel is extremely multicultural and a great place for anyone looking to study German, French, Italian, or English. Accommodation includes a private room, private bathroom, food, and work-related travel. We travel periodically between Basel Venice, and the Dolomites. The property has a large garden, gym, and pool. This is a live-in position with a minimum commitment of 1 year.
