Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Future Au Pair,

Hello!

My name is Jasmine. My husband and I live in Beijing with our daughter, Hannah. We are a family of three, and our home is a spacious four-bedroom apartment located in the city center. It’s very convenient to travel to language schools and visit famous landmarks from here. This is our first time hosting an au pair, and we are all very excited to welcome you into our family and share this special journey together!

We will provide you with a monthly salary of 1,000 USD and cover the cost of your round-trip airfare. Additionally, we will enroll you in an in-person Chinese language program at one of the best universities in Beijing, and we will cover the tuition, insurance, and related expenses. We will also guide you through the process of obtaining your student visa to ensure everything goes smoothly. When you arrive in China, we will pick you up at the airport, help you settle in, and accompany you to your school registration. There’s no need to worry about anything! If our family plans any trips during your stay, we will invite you to join us and cover all related accommodation and meal expenses.

Job Description

The job responsibilities include reading picture books, singing nursery rhythms, playing both indoor and outdoor and speaking everyday English to my daughter. We have helpers who come everyday and help with housework but we’d appreciate your assistance with some light household tasks related to Hannah, such as tidying up her play area. The working hours will be 8am-12pm on weekdays and 8am-12pm+3:30pm-6:30pm in the weekends. the Aupair is allowed to travel and ask for 2 days off per month. It will be great if the Aupair would like to cook her own meals.
