Hello future Au pair,

I hope this letter helps you get a better idea of who we are and makes you feel a little more at home before you arrive.

We’re a small family of three: me, my husband, and our wonderful 6-year-old son. We live in a quiet and green neighborhood. We love it here, and we’re excited to have you join us!

At home, we really focus on keeping things peaceful and respectful. Everyone’s individuality is important to us, and we try to make sure the house is warm, loving, and easygoing. We encourage our son to express himself, and we also teach him to be kind and considerate toward others.

My husband is super dedicated to his work—he runs his own company—but he’s also very family-focused, so we make sure to spend quality time together, especially on weekends. Our son is active, sweet, and loves to play—whether it’s with toys, reading books, or spending time outside. We’re always working on new ways to help him learn and grow.

As our au pair, we want you to feel like part of the family. We’ll make sure you have a comfy room and a cozy environment, but we’ll also respect your privacy and personal space. You’ll be an important part of our daily life, and we want you to enjoy your time with us.

In terms of what you’ll be doing, it’ll mainly be helping with our son, playing with him, and learning together. But we’re also excited to learn from you, so feel free to share your culture and experiences with us!

We also want you to feel comfortable and get to know the area. Our home is just a short 20-minute subway ride from the city center in Beijing, where you’ll find tons to do. There’s also a great Chinese school nearby, only a bus ride away. With bus and subway stations close to the house, it’s super easy to get around.
