Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Having had great success with our first two au pairs (au pairing since January 2023) . We are looking for someone to join us for our next phase of family growth. This post is best suited to someone who is active and also enjoys their own company. It’s less suited to someone looking for lots of social opportunities.
We are seeking someone who enjoys playing, exploring, laughing and learning with young children. Someone who is willing to explore our parenting philosophies rooted in needs and connection. Someone who is also willing to free up some recreation time for my partner and I by assisting with the housework. Our eldest daughter loves to talk and has great English conversation skills. We flexi school and would like support for 4 hours daily with two days off per week. We may be able to provide a car for au pair weekend self-travel around ireland.
We would like someone with appropriate EU citizenship (or visa/work permits) and who is eligible for careers allowance (doesn’t own a property and has low levels of savings).
It is possible, and recommended, to talk with our current au pair to truly understand our offering.

Job Description

We have successfully been working with an au pairs since January 2023 . Slight shift needed this time in that whilst the Au pair will continue to support kids with play and connection, there is as much a need for house support too, e.g. tidying, washing and cooking . Depending on the au pairs willingness for these duties the hours will range from 4-6 hours daily, 5 days per week.
Help would be welcome with this and in our vegetable garden but only if desired.
We will provide use of an electric bike for au pair freedom around the locality. We may also provide access to our second car with potential for some au pair self-travel of ireland at weekends.
There is an arts centre and library in town, banks, coffee shops, hair & beauty, gym, supermarkets. Culture and heritage is plentiful by day and night. There is a large sea swimming community and tidal sea pool. We overlook a well regarded links golf course which is accessible for a fee.
There is an active foreign exchange student community (circa 17yr olds) who attend the local secondary school whilst staying with host families. A mix of nationalities including german, French and Spanish. Socialisation is to be outside our home as visitors are unsettling for the children.
