Work abroad in Maik's family for 12-18 Months starting from Aug 2023 as an Au Pair to take care of 1 children of 1 - 5 years old in Berlin, Berlin Germany

Our home is in Berlin-Lichtenberg with a direct subway or S-Bahn connection. Berlin-Mitte (Alexanderplatz) can be reached in 15 minutes by public transport. Shops and opportunities for leisure activities can also be found in the immediate vicinity. The animal park, which is only a few steps away, is ideal for going for a walk.


In order to be accepted into the au pair program in Germany, a number of requirements must be met:

Au Pair in Germany – requirements for non-EU citizens
If you are not from the European Union, you must apply for a visa to be an au pair in Germany. The basic requirements for the visa for Germany are:
Age: 18 - 26 years
Basic knowledge of German (A1 certificate is required)
Au pair contract
Health insurance valid for the entire length of stay (the host family pays for the insurance, but the au pair needs the documents for the visa application)
Valid passport
Possibility to cover the travel expenses
Letter of invitation (required for some nationalities)
Letter of motivation (required for some nationalities)

Without these requirements, it is unfortunately not possible to obtain a visa for Germany.
