Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Let us introduce ourselves a little—our son Freddie was born on January 28, 2025, and he is truly a delight. He’s curious, full of gentle energy, and already melting hearts with his little smiles. We can’t wait for you to meet him and be part of his early journey as he grows and discovers the world.

We both work—my partner works full time, and I work part time (around 20 hours a week). During my working hours, we’ll be counting on your support to help care for Freddie. We want this to be a collaborative, open, and supportive environment for all of us, where you feel comfortable and appreciated.

As our Au Pair, you’ll be a very important part of our family life. Beyond the practical support, we hope to create a warm and welcoming home where you feel at ease, respected, and included. We look forward to sharing our culture with you—and learning about yours too!

Job Description

As part of your role, I’ll need your support caring for Freddie during my work hours—primarily while I’m in meetings or focused on specific tasks. These hours will be shared with you at the beginning of each week so you can plan ahead. During that time, your responsibilities will include playing with Freddie, supporting his development through simple exercises, feeding him, and changing his diapers as needed. Occasionally, you may also need to accompany us to our offices and care for Freddie there while I’m in meetings.
