Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello,

Welcome to our family! My name is Patryk, and I am a single father to a lively and curious 3.5-year-old boy. We live in Berlin Lichtenrade, a quiet and family-friendly area, but my work and my son’s kindergarten are located in the city center. Public transportation is easily accessible, with bus and train stops nearby.

My son is bilingual in Polish and German. He attends a German-English kindergarten and has weekly English lessons at a Helen Doron school. He is bright, playful, and loves exploring the world around him.

I am motivated to welcome an au pair into our family because, while I have successfully managed to balance work with parenting, I find it equally important to occasionally focus on my private life. Additionally, we live in a spacious 96-square-meter, 4-room apartment (3 bedrooms), and one of the rooms could be easily utilized as a comfortable bedroom for the au pair.

We are looking forward to welcoming someone who enjoys spending time with children.

Job Description

I am looking for an au pair to live with us and support me in taking care of my son, primarily in the afternoons and evenings. This will provide me with the flexibility to occasionally focus on personal commitments outside of work and parenting.

As part of our family, you will be expected to engage with my son in a kind and caring way. Basic English, German, or Polish skills would be helpful for communication, but the most important qualities are patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children.
